UFC 300 is set to be a monumental event, marked by several significant developments and a lineup of exceptional fighters. The stakes are high, with bonuses reaching a staggering 300,000, a considerable increase from the usual 50,000. The event will witness the debut of new gloves and shorts, possibly featuring a new canvas color adorned with updated sponsors. Anticipation is rife for record-breaking sales as numerous titles are on the line. This Saturday in Las Vegas, UFC 300 will showcase 11 current or former undisputed UFC champions, along with esteemed fighters like Gaethje and Kayla Harrison, who have held interim titles or belts in other major promotions. UFC CEO Dana White predicts this event to surpass even the monumental UFC 100 and 200. While the prelims will be broadcast on ESPN and streamed on ESPN+, the main event is scheduled for Saturday, April 13, at 10:00 PM EDT at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, United States, with early prelims starting at 6:00 PM EDT and prelims at 8:00 PM EDT.
Early prelim predictions
The first fight of UFC 300 is a bantamweight bout between Deiveson Figueiredo (22-3-1) and Cody Garbrandt (14-5-0). Cody is coming into this fight as a sizeable underdog at +250 while his oppent Figueiredo is –310. This may be the biggest fight and possible last we see for Cody Garbrandt although he is on a 2-win fight streak this past UFC Bantamweight Champion has seen better days and I believe is no match for Figueiredo who basically dominated his past weight class and then Figueiredo moved up to the bantamweight division, defeating top contender Rob Font by decision at UFC Austin in December 2023.
Deiveson Figueiredo VIA TKO
The second fight of the night is between UFC veteran Jim miller (37-17-0) and bobby green (31-15-1). Jim Miller is the underdog at +140 while Bobby Green is at –180. I believe that this will be 40-year-old Jim miller last fight on Saturday, and I want to say the MMA gods will give this to Jim miller. I think both fighters have a great gas tank and can easily go 3 rounds. Although I believe Bobby Green hasn't been the same since being brutally knocked out by Jalin Turner and a late stoppage from the ref.
Miller VIA Decision Victory
Third fight of the night is between Jessica Andrade (25-12-0) and Marina Rodriguez (17-3-2). Both fighters have won their last fights although Andrade is coming in at –135 while Rodriguez is at +114. For me the fight is simple to break down but challenging to predict because it can go one of two ways. If Rodriguez can stay on the outside and use her range while keeping the exchanges minimal, Andrade can hunt her down by blitzing Marina. This fight feels odd on 300, not really having much importance as both have shown themselves to not be championship level, but it should be a fun fight.
Andrade Miller VIA Decision Victory
The fourth and final fight in the early prelims will probably be the most entertaining with Jalin Turner 14-7-0 and Renato Moicano 18-5-1. Jalin Turner is the superior striker out of these two, and I think he is one of the most dangerous in the division. Turner was blessed with unfair attributes in this weight class, being 6’3 and extremely quick. Moicano has very fast kicks that he likes to use to the body throw off the rhythm of who he’s fighting. His hands are not very powerful, in the grappling he has nasty BJJ. I think that the odds makers know something with Turner at –238 and Moicano at +195.
Turner VIA KO
